FAQs: MOVING-OUT

While we hate to see you go, here are a few tips to help with the process of moving out of your storage space.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR MOVING OUT?

  • Submit Your Notice: Contact our office or use the online portal to schedule your move-out date. You must provide at least 10 days’ notice prior to your payment date.
  • Empty the Unit Completely: Remove all boxes, furniture, trash, and loose pallets. Any trash left behind forfeits your deposit.
  • Clean Up: Sweep the floor and remove any dirt or debris. Leave the space in the same condition you found it.
  • Remove Your Lock: Take your padlock with you. Leaving it on the door indicates to staff that the unit is still occupied.
  • Confirm with Management: Once you are out of the unit, call or text 304-838-5315 to FINALIZE your move-out. Be sure to give your name, facility location, and storage unit number. Your deposit will be refunded after the unit is checked by a staff member.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I LEAVE ITEMS IN MY UNIT?

  • If you leave items in your storage unit after moving out, you will not receive a refund of your security deposit. Items left behind will be auctioned or discarded.

DO I GET MY DEPOSIT BACK?

  • Yes, assuming your account is current, the unit is left in the same condition as it was found and you notify our office at 304-838-5315 you have vacated the unit. Your deposit will be refunded to the last payment method we have on file.

IS THE LAST MONTH PRO-RATED?

  • No. If the unit is locked on your due date, you will be charged for the upcoming month.
